Our Story

We are Atarah Jewelry, my name is Reyna Rodriguez (formerly Reyna Barroso - shout out to my family last name!) and I came to the US from Colombia when I was 12 years old. I feel this brand started with my grandfather, who I didn't meet, but was a jeweler back in Colombia. He used to make solid gold pieces as well as repairs. My father tells me he was great at it and was very demanding (my father used to help him to make some money). I wish I would have met him! My father will help with some of our pieces so we will have a little bit of my grandfather with him (notice I always speak as "we", this brand is a family effort!).

Our name: The meaning behind the name: Atarah means crown (shouldn't we all wear one, always?) I wanted to bring a little bit of my name to the brand name. My name means queen in Spanish so it felt the name was a perfect match.

I've loved jewelry ever since I can remember and probably have more jewelry than your average girl. I love all materials and styles and always wanted to create my own. I hope every one visiting, purchasing, supporting this small business loves our pieces as much as we do.
